Abstract
The statement by mathematician and PhD Alan Turing translates, in a simple manner, the understanding of science and, especially, forensic science: even though we can only comprehend (“see”) a short distance ahead, we already realize that there is still much work to be done, and this edition demonstrates exactly that. With a series of articles in the form of literature reviews, this volume highlights the importance of examining what has already been produced and understanding, in a more assertive way, which direction should be taken and how different techniques may contribute to solving problems encountered in practice.
