Forensic Entomology in Practice: From the Laboratory to the Use of Evidence

Abstract

For entomological evidence to be more highly valued and, consequently, more widely used in clarifying matters of police and judicial interest, it is imperative that greater investments be made in research, in the training of specialized human resources, and in strengthening the relationship between academia and official forensic institutions, promoting collective awareness regarding the importance of the various applications of “forensic insects” in practical casework.
