Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
-
For submissions to sections subject to peer review (e.g., research articles), the instructions provided under "Ensuring a Blind Peer Review" have been followed. In other words, all information that could identify the authors has been removed from the manuscript.
-
The submission is original, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration for publication by another journal.
-
The manuscript complies with the journal's formatting and style requirements, has been anonymized for peer review, and follows the bibliographic and submission requirements described in the Author Guidelines available on the About the Journal page.
-
The submission file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF format.
-
You will receive a confirmation email for each stage of your manuscript's processing. However, please remember to add the email address [admin@rbc.org.br](mailto:admin@rbc.org.br) to your safe senders list or contacts so that messages are not mistakenly classified as spam. Failure to do so is the main reason authors do not receive communications regarding the journal and their manuscripts. By checking this item, you agree that all communication related to the submission and editorial process will be conducted electronically.
-
You must keep an up-to-date contact telephone number in your registration profile with the Brazilian Journal of Forensic Sciences (RBC).
Author Guidelines
Manuscripts must be prepared according to the Modelo_Rev_Bras_Crim.doc template for articles.
Files must be submitted in Word format or an equivalent format (.doc, .docx, etc.). Authors should upload one version of the manuscript without any author information (anonymous version) and a separate document containing the authors' details and institutional affiliations, in order to preserve the integrity of the double-blind peer review process.
